Fun Thanksgiving Art Projects for Kids

In honor of Thanksgiving, here are a couple of fun and easy art activities you can do with your kids.

Table Top Turkey:

Paint a paper cup brown, then turn it upside down.

Using brown, orange, and yellow construction paper, cut nine 4-inch feathers. Glue them to one side of the cup.

To make the turkey’s head, glue a brown pom-pom to the top of the cup.

Fold a 1-inch square piece of orange construction paper in half and cut a triangle for the beak. Glue it to the pom-pom.

For your turkey’s wattle, take a 2-inch square piece of red construction paper, fold it in half, and cut a heart shape. Glue it to the pom-pom under the beak.

Add googly eyes to complete your turkey’s face.

Paper Loop Turkey:

Cut a 2” x 11” strip of brown construction paper, fold it into a loop, and glue the ends together. This will be your turkey’s body.

Cut a 1” x 5” strip of tan construction paper, make a loop, glue the ends, and then glue it to the brown piece to make the turkey’s head.

Cut 1” x 5” feathers from brown, tan, orange, red, and gold paper and glue them to the back of the turkey’s body.

Cut out a beak, feet, and wattle and glue them on. Finish with googly eyes.

We hope you enjoy making these holiday turkeys with your kids. Happy Thanksgiving!
