Some of Our Favorite Arts and Crafts Materials and Stores

At The Art Truck, we mobilize creativity with our fun, hands-on art projects. Our party ideas include paint bars, robots, masquerades, jewelry, and wine glass painting. We wanted to share with you some of our favorite arts and crafts materials that you can use for your own projects with your kids at home.

Fun Wire by Toner makes it easy for young artists to create unique, wearable works of art. We love to use it at our Baubles, Beads, and Bling jewelry-making parties to create fantastic necklaces, bracelets, and rings. Since it is covered with 100 percent PVC, Fun Wire is easy to work with, even for young children. It comes in a variety of cool colors so your kids can create an array of fashionable jewelry.

Adhesive-backed glitter foam sheets are another favorite for kids. These low-mess, easy-to-use foam pieces are economical and can be cut into shapes and sizes needed for nearly any project. Glitter sheets come in many colors to add sparkle to your kids’ artwork. We love to use them to help kids decorate robots, masks, carousel ponies, scrapbook pages, and more. You can buy single sheets or packages of glitter sheets at craft stores such as Michael’s and A.C. Moore.

Wine glass painting parties are one of our most popular activities for adults. People love to paint with fun and easy-to-use Deco Art paint markers and Martha Stewart glass paint and adhesive stencils to create unique and beautiful designs on their wine glasses.

If you are planning an art project for your kids this holiday season, you can get all the supplies you will need at some of our favorite arts and crafts stores. We like to buy our supplies from Dick Blick, Michael’s, and S&S.

Your kids will have time off from school for the holidays, and art projects are a great way to keep them entertained. You can use these materials to create fun and inexpensive activities to help your kids develop their creativity at home.
